A little about the role
The National Practice Lead will support the implementation and embedding of Key Assets Australia's (KAA) Practice Framework and evidence based, trauma informed and culturally safe practice methodologies and policies.
The role carries a significant responsibility in building organisational capacity for the vision of accountability to children and young people and be focused on enhancing organisational practices and systems and working collaboratively to create innovation.
Some of the key responsibilities include :
- Working collaboratively with the National Practice Partner and members of the Practice, Safeguarding & Marketing (PSM) team to support the implementation and embedding of KAA's Practice Framework.
- In partnership with Chrysalis (our internal transformation hub) and the KAA Young Person’s Working Group, develop innovative approaches that ensure the voices of children, families and carers are centred in our work.
- Working with the Practice Partner, Safeguarding Partner, Safeguarding Specialist, KAA Learning & Development team and jurisdiction leads to design, develop and implement KAA’s practice capability program; coordinate its delivery to operational staff; guide and support its implementation and embedding locally; and evaluate its efficacy in meeting performance, outcome and impact measures.
- Foster and develop positive working relationships through active collaboration, engagement and information sharing with key internal and external stakeholders.
The base salary for this position is $119,000 to $125,000 per annum (based on 1.0EFT) + super + mobile + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is full-time, ongoing and can be based at any of our offices , nationally.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with prior experience working directly with children, young people, their families and providing trauma-informed practice that safeguards and promotes their wellbeing.
Ideally, you will also come with :
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related discipline.
- Experience in practice leadership and / or clinical leadership in the safeguarding or community services sector.
- Experience in developing and delivering training to community services operational staff in practice related areas such as trauma, child development, attachment, therapeutic and clinical work with children, young people and families, mental health, family and domestic violence, drug and alcohol, disability, cultural awareness and humility.
- Experience in developing and leading projects and coordinating their successful implementation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child and family service systems, government practices and procedures.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and excellent engagement skills.
