Service Project Logistics Coordinator (Start ASAP)

Coordinate logistics and project delivery activities for Smiths Detection’s service projects in Australia, supporting safety and quality standards.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include :

• Assist the Service Project Logistics & HSE Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of project delivery activities aligned with schedules and customer requirements.
• Manage day-to-day logistics including freight coordination, delivery tracking, and site access arrangements.
• Prepare and organise equipment for dispatch, ensuring completeness, compliance, and proper working condition.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, support installations, oversee deliveries, and provide on-site coordination.
• Liaise with internal departments (Service, Programs, Commercial) and external partners (suppliers, freight forwarders, subcontractors, customers) to ensure smooth project flow.
• Support development of project schedules, resource plans, and Method of Procedures (MOPs) under manager guidance.
• Ensure project documentation (site reports, delivery records, acceptance / commissioning forms) is completed and filed per company requirements.
• Provide operational support during installation, including field team coordination, site safety compliance, and milestone monitoring.
• Identify and report project risks, issues, or deviations for escalation and resolution.
• Assist procurement of local services and consumables, including purchase requests and supplier coordination.
• Support site health, safety, and environmental compliance in all project activities.
• Maintain awareness of ongoing service projects and contribute to planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Assist in identifying service improvements or aftermarket sales opportunities through customer engagement and technical understanding.
• Undertake other duties to support successful service project execution and department objectives.
