Anaesthetist - Specialist Role in Tertiary Hospital

The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist seeking a role that offers both clinical challenge and professional depth within a busy and well-established department. This position provides the chance to work at scale, contributing to a high volume of elective and emergency anaesthetic activity while remaining part of a thoughtful, academically engaged environment.

You will deliver anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties, supporting complex peri-operative medicine and emergency work. The Hospital

This is a large tertiary health service operating across multiple facilities and providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The anaesthetic department is well established and manages a high volume of elective and emergency procedures each year. The Requirements

Applicants will meet one or more of the following criteria :

• Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
• Have at least 12 months recent experience working as an Anaesthetist
• Be on the ANZCA training program
• Hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
• International Medical Graduates eligible for recognised ANZCA pathways, including Competent Authority jurisdictions
• International Medical Graduates with a confirmed ANZCA interview date
• International Medical Graduates already assessed by ANZCA and found to be substantially comparable
