Risk Manager | $160K – $170K Package | Investment Management

The Opportunity

Our client is a growing and highly respected boutique funds management business. With a broad platform spanning multiple investment classes and a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, they are seeking a Risk Manager to join their collaborative team in Melbourne.

This newly created role will support the Head of Risk & Compliance and play a key part in embedding and uplifting enterprise-wide risk processes. It represents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.

The Challenge

In this role, you will provide oversight and assurance across the organisation’s risk and control environment. Your key responsibilities will include :

• Implementation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework
• Supporting business units to identify, document and manage risks and controls
• Developing and executing a controls assessment and testing framework
• Monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators, trends and treatment actions
• Preparing analysis and updates for senior leadership and the risk committee
• Supporting operational resilience reviews and business continuity planning
• Driving continuous improvement across internal controls and risk culture

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following :

• Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance or internal audit within financial services, funds management or a related industry
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls testing and governance reporting
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with enterprise risk management systems will be highly regarded
• CIA, CRMA, FRM, PRM or equivalent risk / audit qualifications, with 3–6+ years’ relevant experience
