Kitchen Hand

Catering HQ is seeking a hard working Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated Kitchen team at Penrith RSL.

THE BRAND

Catering HQ is a family run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 15 fabulous venues across Sydney and Melbourne. We believe in striving for excellence at all times and pride ourselves on having an experienced and dedicated team who love their work and their work environment.

KEY DUTIES

• Thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors
• Food preparation assistance
• Stock rotation and stock control
• Following all health and safety procedures when carrying out all tasks
• Any other adhoc duties as required by our fantastic Chefs and Management
• Operating a commercial dishwasher to a high standard
• Assist with general kitchen duties under the direction of the Head Chef

KEY QUALITIES

• Previous experience in a high-volume catering or kitchen hand role is essential
• Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Knowledge of WHS (Work Health & Safety) guidelines
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively within a team
• Flexible availability
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills in English
• Knife skills are a bonus – we’d love to see them!
