About the Opportunity

The Team Leader Customer Services is responsible for driving high levels of customer service to both internal and external customers while motivating and leading a team to help deliver meaningful customer service, financial support and estate administration to members of our community. The ASO6 Team Leader Customer Services, is accountable to the Branch Manager and is responsible for :

The day-to-day leadership of a team including resourcing, performance management and oversight of the delivery of quality and timely customer services.

Providing expert advice while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Personal Estates branch by identifying operational efficiencies.

Contributing to business growth and sustainability including identifying process improvement opportunities and leading change management processes.

Monitoring of customer service deliverables and managing compliance within the team as part of business-as-usual activities.

Identifying, developing and implementing new business procedures through consultation with external stakeholders, industry professionals and the community.

Supporting the overall development of the team as both mentor and coach, playing a key role in driving the positive culture of the branch.

You are a leader with a strategic mindset who operates with demonstrated experience and a passion to always deliver a high level of customer service.

You actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and have exceptional problem-solving skills.

You are a people leader who will enjoy the opportunity to positively influence the culture of your team and are keen to share knowledge and experience in the mentoring, training and development of your team members.

You have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to form and maintain positive working relationships.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience and would like to contribute to business improvement by identifying operational efficiencies.

About the Business

The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) operates as part of the Attorney-General’s Department and was established on 1 January 1881, under the Public Trustee Act 1995 (SA). It offers services to South Australians, including will preparation, powers of attorney, and administration of deceased estates and trusts. The Public Trustee is also responsible for managing the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are unable to handle these matters on their own. At the heart of our work is our commitment to protecting the wishes and interests of those we serve.

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
