Job description

We’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager to support a range of diverse projects that support AACo’s strategy and strengthen our station infrastructure and business operations. In this role, you’ll bring together cross-functional teams to drive execution, deliver key projects, and influence outcomes across the business.

You will apply solid project management practices to keep everything on track – from timelines and budgets to clear reporting and strong governance. Building strong relationships with team members across the business will be key to ensuring smooth communication and confident decision-making

If you’re someone who can juggle multiple priorities while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

Who we are :

The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is Australia’s largest integrated cattle and beef producer, specialising in grass-fed, grain-fed, and Wagyu beef production. Established back in 1824, we’ve been doing this a while – in fact, we’re Australia’s oldest continuously operating company. We’ve had plenty of time to figure out how to be the best workplace we can be, with all the support, training, and opportunity you need to shape your career how you want to. We’re dedicated to acknowledging our history even as we look to sustainably feed the future – and we’d love you to join us.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with team members across different areas to define clear project goals and deliverables
  • Create a practical project plan with timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk strategies
  • Build and support cross-functional teams, making sure everyone knows their role
  • Be the main point of contact between the project team and decision makers, keeping everyone in the loop with regular updates
  • Keep projects on track by managing tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans when needed
  • Spot risks early, manage issues quickly, and keep things moving
  • Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and negotiate with vendors when required
  • Wrap up projects properly – making sure everything’s delivered to a high standard, lessons are captured, and reviews are done
  • Help improve project processes and encourage fresh thinking
