The client is looking for proactive, experienced and driven BDMs to join a new and expanding team within the freight and logistics industry with roles available in both Melbourne and Sydney. Here’s what’s in it for you :

• Negotiable base salary circa $110,000, plus super and performance-driven bonuses

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

This is a pure new business role suited to a hunter and is perfect for someone who loves driving new revenue streams and targeting potential new markets. You’ll be responsible for :

• Developing and executing a strategic sales plan to break open and grow the cold-chain / regulated logistics space.
• Identifying opportunities and actively pursuing new business leads and building a strong client base
• Representing the company and engage in face to face client meetings
• Understanding client needs and providing tailored logistics solutions

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS

We’re looking for someone with strong sales experience in the industry, ideally within the cold-chain / regulated logistics sector. To succeed in this role, you’ll need :

• Proven Business Development or Sales experience in freight forwarding
• A solid track record of winning new business and closing deals
• Strong knowledge of Sea and / or Air freight (both preferred)
• A self-motivated, proactive mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• A strategic mindset and the resilience to open doors and win trust
• Ability to hit the ground running, an existing network or client base is a bonus but not essential
• Strong time management and organisational skills

THE COMPANY

Our client is an international freight forwarder with over 70 years of combined experience across sea and air freight, customs clearance and bonded warehousing. With strong capability in healthcare, dangerous goods and time-critical cargo, the client is now expanding its cold-chain / regulated logistics division. This role will play a key part in growing their presence within that space.
