Bicicletta Restaurant located within Peppers Gallery Hotel is a favourite in the Canberra region for authentic Italian cuisine. Bicicletta serves as a perfect place to meet with family and friends to share a meal or enjoy one of the expertly crafted cocktails. The friendly and professional team will attend to your every need in one of the unique stylish settings we have on offer. Guests may choose to dine in our open plan fast paced restaurant, enjoy our leafy courtyard or have an intimate meal in the Library Bar. Bicicletta is also a popular option for group diners with two beautifully appointed private dining rooms and group dining menus available.

Purpose

As our Commis Chef , you will play a pivotal role in our team, learning from our experienced senior chefs, showcasing your unwavering love for food, creative spark, and strong teamwork abilities collaborating to create dishes that leave a lasting impression.

Casual loading on all hourly rates!

Base rate of $28.12. With Loadings : Monday - Friday $35.15ph, Saturday $42.18ph, Sunday $49.21ph and Public Holidays $70.30ph!

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensuring that food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, whilst maintaining high quality and presentation
• Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items
• Receive ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs
• Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes
