Position Overview : The Web Application Developer supports the Software Development Team in developing and maintaining web-based applications for unmanned rocket launches at the Eastern Range (Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL). This role focuses on maintaining existing Classic ASP applications, migrating them to modern ASP.NET frameworks, and implementing new features to meet mission requirements.
- Assist Project Managers, Software Architects, clients, and other developers with requirements gathering analysis, design, and project planning
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
- Perform modification, testing, and debugging of vendor-supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with current operating environment
- Design, code, and maintain complex applications for efficiency and regular updates
- Develop and implement SharePoint customizations and web parts using Visual Studio and .NET technologies
- Implement new features and optimize existing functionality based on business requirements
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews
- Develop and execute test plans for new and existing application functionality
- Review and edit program and user documentation to ensure usability and accessibility
- Maintain project plans, requirements and design documents, and other system documentation
- Develop and maintain work procedures and instructions
