Global communications company looking for NOC / Operations Engineer on a permanent basis

Your new role

You'll be joining as an NOC / Operations Engineer, working on some of the company's flagship products and services. You'll be working in a close-knit and dynamic team who are passionate about their work and have a huge impact on broader business goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include :

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise, engineering and upgrade support for main systems and sub-systems used on the applicable radio, microwave or data networks
  • Act as a technical escalation point for Network Operations Control Centre (NOCC) staff or Field Engineers when necessary
  • Create and review problem management, knowledge management and test procedures for system stability
  • Develop and audit as-built documentation and update as required to ensure accuracy
  • Support the IP network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, microwave) remotely and onsite
  • Perform upgrades on network devices (remote / onsite) and assist with network designs

What you'll need to succeed

  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Juniper would be a huge advantage.
  • Strong experience in IP network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, microwave)
  • 3+ years experience as an NOC / Operations Engineer, though the company is also open to more senior (5-7 years experience)
  • Strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry and radio communications
  • CCNA
  • ITIL certificate is a nice to have
