    The Integrated Family Services Program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children’s well being. Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and home based supports.

    As a Family Services Senior Practitioner, you will support the Team Leader in managing workflows and provide guidance and mentoring support to Practitioners within the team. The role will carry a caseload and provide intensive case management support to families who present with a higher level of complexity. Working collaboratively with Child Protection and other agencies, the Senior Practitioner will support families to enhance parenting capacity, family functioning and promote child safety.

      To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a university qualification, degree level or above in social welfare, psychology, social work or related discipline plus two years post qualifying experience

      You will also have :

    • Advanced experience and knowledge of the provision of intervention / support to children, youth and their families with multiple and complex needs
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with adults, adolescents, children and sector representatives
    • Strong skills in needs, risk and safety assessments of children, young people and their parents within the context of the Best Interest Framework
    • Ability to constructively challenge systematic processes in a professional manner
    • Current driver’s licence valid in Victoria
