About the Role
The Wernick Group, the UK’s largest provider of permanent and temporary modular buildings and site accommodation, is looking for a proactive professional to oversee the efficient operation of the Group IT infrastructure and services. The IT Manager will manage day‑to‑day IT operations, support the wider business and lead strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT & telecoms issues, acting as the conduit between customers and department management.
- Monitor IT helpdesk performance, analyze trends and improve service quality.
- Oversee the performance of external IT support provider and manage service issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to the IT team.
- Manage annual Cyber Essentials Plus renewal.
- Plan and coordinate annual IT audits across the Group.
- Assist the IT Director with strategic projects.
- Oversee large IT projects, coordinating resources.
- Recruit IT staff and manage vacancies.
- Promote a positive working environment.
- Monitor performance of IT infrastructure and services.
Qualifications and Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office suites.Broad understanding of Windows Server infrastructure.Experience with MPLS networks and Extreme Switching & Access Points.Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills.Flexible and able to adapt work plans at short notice.Ability to liaise with external suppliers and manage escalations.Full UK driving licence.Attributes
