About the opportunity
We're currently recruiting for a permanent part-time Finance Manager (4 days per week) to join our team located at our head office in Mulgrave, with hybrid working available.
Reporting to our Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for leading the accounting function to ensure that all financial information and payroll is compliant, accurate and timely. This involves working together with accounts and payroll to ensure financial governance. This role is also responsible for management of cashflow and meeting statutory compliance.
As the Finance Manager you will play a key role in helping management make informed financial decisions. The role supports the Financial Controller and executive management team by providing financial guidance. This will involve analysing and presenting on financial strengths and weaknesses, identifying and managing financial risks and exploring opportunities for increasing revenue and reducing costs.
About you
We are looking for an experienced induvial with a can-do attitude and a highly effective decision maker. You will need to be self-motivated, amiable, honest and reliable. Being flexible to learning new skills and having the ability to come up with new ideas will see you be a strong candidate for this role.
Ideally, you'll have
A background in the Disability Services Industry
An analytical mind
Negotiation skills
Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
Commercial and business awareness
Eye for detail and accuracy
Good communication skills – verbal and written
3 years" experience in a similar role
Qualifications required
Bachelor of Accounting or similar
CPA / CA
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Working with Children Check (Employee type)
