About the Role

Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick – one of Australia’s leading specialist medical centres for children – is opening the Bilima Building in November 2025. As part of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) will coordinate safe patient care, ward management and leadership, applying the ‘children first’ philosophy to ensure optimum service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, direct and coordinate safe patient care
  • Ensure practice is safe and effective, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage the ward effectively and within agreed allocated resources

About You

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to continuous quality improvement and the ability to manage change
