About Challenge

Our Disability Services - Day Programs help clients livefulfilling lives through engaging activities and communityparticipation, while building life skills and confidence. We caterto individuals with varying support needs, including those who usewheelchairs and other aids, and provide additional medical and caresupport.

Clients attend weekdays for day programs or weekends forcommunity participation, tailored to their disability level andgoals. Support workers help clients develop skills throughactivities like cooking, music, crafts, sports, reading, andsinging.

The Role

As a Disability Support Worker in our Day Programs, you willsupport clients with disabilities, focusing on skill developmentand enriching their lives through enjoyable activities. This rolemay also include providing in-home support, requiring flexibilityfor afternoon and night shifts.

Essential Criteria

• Australian Driver's Licence
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one duringonboarding
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Satisfactory Police Check
• Flexibility to work in a daily care service
• Competence with Microsoft Office, particularly Word andOutlook
• Covid-19 Vaccination status, including booster

Desirable Criteria

• Understanding of NDIA processes
• Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent
• Mental Health First Aid
• Handy craft skills (sewing, knitting, crocheting)
