What You’ll Own

  • Build and maintain the Spend and Loyalty systems, including virtual cards and the rewards engine.
  • Own the development lifecycle : design, test, deploy, and support rock solid code.
  • Manage a backlog of features, bugs, and technical debt, effectively prioritising to deliver value.
  • Perform effective code reviews and lead the development of high‑quality software.
  • Lead design and architectural changes to improve performance and reliability of our Rewards system.
  • What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Demonstrated expertise in Kotlin and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in microservice and event‑based designs, utilising Kafka.
  • Experience with relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud services (AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • An ability to coach and mentor others, driving technical excellence and code quality.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn, and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. We are all leaders at Zip; effective risk management is part of all our roles.
