Commercial Director

The Role

A strategic, pragmatic operator with a strong commercial instinct, you will lead the transformation of our commercial engine and deliver :

Annual sales growth targets by shifting commercial mix from 50 : 50 product / services to 80 : 20, underpinned by growth in production contracts and rapid engineering projects

Operational control of all commercial legal, sales, and technical sales functions and structure the team for best‑practice operations

Disciplined commercial and pipeline management : Update pricing models, increase conversion rates, accelerate deal velocity, and establish benchmark KPIs

A high‑performing commercial organisation, with advanced deal‑structuring capability, value‑based selling, and an independent team able to win and deliver complex global opportunities.

About you

You bring a balance of strategic acuity and hands‑on execution, with the ability to operate at pace in a technical, rapidly evolving environment. You will demonstrate :

Strong commercial drive, initiative and urgency.

Expertise in deal structuring, negotiation, and contract / NDA management.

Operational discipline across commercial processes and governance.

A data‑driven approach to sales management, including qualification, pipeline velocity and conversion.

Adaptive leadership – able to navigate risk, speed and technical complexity to get exceptional outcomes.

What You Bring

A track record of elevating commercial and technical sales functions to secure high‑value, complex international contracts.

Proven capability in global commercial management, advanced deal construction and negotiation.

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across international markets.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification desirable.
