We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for Head of Rowing on a permanent full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Dean of Extra-Curricular, the Head of Rowing will be responsible for leading and managing our Rowing program, including overall strategic direction. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced individual with a passion for rowing and a strong track record in coaching and program management.
The Role
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that reflects the values of Loreto Normanhurst.
- Responsible for recruiting, managing, mentoring and developing high quality Rowing Coaches.
- Oversee the induction and facilitation of professional development of rowing staff.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement effective strategic training programs for the Rowing students.
- Responsible for the management of equipment and facilities associated with Loreto Normanhurst Rowing. This includes the management of the School’s boat replacement plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Minimum Level 2 Coaching qualification in Rowing, Level 3 highly preferred.Present outstanding leadership skills with commitment to collaborative decision-making.Display excellent communication skills with strong organisational abilities and a keen attention to detail.NSW General Boat Driving Licence.Experience and skills in the maintenance and repairs of rowing related equipment (preferred).Experience towing rowing boat trailers is essential.Reliable and punctual; able to travel to Rowing venues across the greater Sydney metropolitan area as required.Why Work at Loreto Normanhurst
