Wagga Wagga City Council are calling for applications from motivated people who have previous labouring experience to join numerous locations of Council. This is an ideal opportunity for people accustomed to hands on work and are looking for a job that has lots of variety.

Positions are casual and on an as needs basis. Applications will be retained on file to fill vacancies within our casual pool as they arise throughout the year.

• Remuneration of $34.82 gross per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation.

Please note : Rates of pay for all Council employees aged between 15-18 years of age are paid in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, Clause 32. Junior and Trainee Employment. For further information, please see Council’s Junior Rates of Pay Fact Sheet.

In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A (Parks and Gardens) and Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus (Gregadoo Waste Management Centre) and e vidence of Q-Fever is required for some areas of Council such as the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC). All candidates will be required to provide evidence of the immunisation / s prior to commencement.
