Position: Systems Engineer
Company: A $4B digital infrastructure and solution provider.
Role: The Systems Engineer is a brand new role that focuses primarily on project work, comprising 90% of the responsibilities, with occasional support work accounting for the remaining 10%.
Tech Stack: The Systems Engineer will work with the following technologies:
- 20% Networking (Basic routing and switching)
- 10% Fortinet (Basic knowledge is required)
- 70% Azure/O365/Intune (Must-have expertise)
Main Tasks: The Systems Engineer will engage in specific activities such as:
- Documenting detailed design and implementation plans for improving or upgrading the Business IT environment.
- Documenting and managing the Standard Operating Environment and any changes made to it.
- Conducting regular network and data security checks and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assisting in the design of training programs to educate employees.
- Performing regular system audits.
- Overseeing and managing on-premises and cloud computing environments.
- Creating and updating documentation of ICT systems as improvements are identified.
- Assisting in the day-to-day management of ICT support systems, including triage and reporting through the ticketing system to ensure fast resolution for internal customers.
Qualifications & Experience Required: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Systems Administration role, working with Windows, Mac, Azure, and Office365.
- Experience with virtual server infrastructure, disaster recovery scenarios, and backup solutions.
- Previous experience in MDM and Autopilot administration and deployment.
- Familiarity with the Fortinet suite of devices, software, and services.
Critical Knowledge & Skills Required: The Systems Engineer should possess the following critical knowledge and skills:
- Proficiency in designing architectures for Microsoft 365, Azure, Autopilot, and Intune.
- Support expertise in Windows Active Directory and Windows Server.
- Proficiency in Office365 hybrid cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of basic routing, networking, and firewalling concepts.
- Skills in SharePoint and Microsoft Flow are highly desirable.
The position requires working from 9am to 5pm with flexibility for overtime. The company offers a flexible work-from-home policy, allowing 2-3 days of remote work per week, as long as deliverables are met.
