Reporting to the Operations Support Manager the role is the face of the Business within the main building entrance at the reception desk. The broader team includes fellow BSO roles at other locations, a travel team, corporate affairs and personal assistants and administrators throughout the Business.

As a Business Support Officer (BSO) at Rheinmetall Defence Australia, you will be responsible for providing administrative and facilities based support to the organisation. This role is a key interface for a positive and professional experience for both employees and visitors to our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) facility in Redbank.
As a
- Business Support Officer
- you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include :
- Providing administrative support to the Business as directed;
- Covering the attendance at the reception desk as well as focusing on the presentation of the Admin Building entrance area;
- Supporting events held on site, including liaising with Facilities, security, and catering as required for the maintenance, operation and use of the building;
- Organise and support use of the ground floor Meeting rooms - set up for meetings and reset, meeting and greeting guests, catering and administrative support as required;
- Provide administrative and logistics support for domestic and international travel booking;
- Support as directed by Strategy & Communications Team - events and VIP events; room bookings, room set up and reset, organise PPE for visits, name badges, printing;
- Liaise with internal and external service providers as required; and
- Participating in relevant project and events work when required.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes :
- Experience in an administration support role;
- Experience liaising with senior executives and officials;
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Office 365), SAP and Adobe Acrobat;
- Ability to work flexible hours and support the physical events aspect of the role;
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
- Comfortable working autonomously with mínimal direction and within a geographically dispersed team;
- Possesses a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, organisational and time management skills; and
- The ability to gain and hold the appropriate Australia Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship needed as a minimum).
