Senior Lecturer - C (orthopaedic and musculoskeletal) Part-time, Senior Lecturer position in the Discipline of Orthopaedics & Trauma Level C $135,388 to $155,696 pro-rata, per-annum, plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies & clinical loading (if applicable) applies. Fixed term (initially 36 months) 0.25 FTE position available immediately The Adelaide Medical School provides and innovative and collaborative research and teaching environment. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced clinician to lead the delivery of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal teaching through the MD program.

The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and will play a pivotal role in advancing teaching, and service development within the Adelaide Medical School and the Lyell McEwin Hospital, fostering the academic growth of Orthopaedics and Trauma.

The appointee will report to the Academic Lead, Orthopaedics & Trauma, as the nominee of the Dean of Medicine, Adelaide Medical School for teaching related activities.

Key responsibilities will broadly include :

Provide leadership in the medical program clinical teaching Teach and supervise students in the medical and health sciences programs in the faculty Provide leadership in the development of interprofessional learning Provide leadership for teaching, curriculum development and course coordination of medical students Provide a high level of commitment to the strategic plans of the university and faculty Liaise and communicate with relevant sections of the community, professional associations and government organisations To be successful you will need : Registration as a medical practitioner and specialist in orthopaedics Demonstrated track record in administration and teaching at an appropriate level Proven experience in conducting high-quality teaching in Musculoskeletal Medicine Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in a tertiary clinical and academic setting This position requires a valid National Police Check The path to Adelaide University We are on an exciting path to Adelaide University as we prepare to open our doors in January 2026.
