The Role

As Event Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of ASG's internal and external events across live, hybrid, and virtual formats. Working closely with the Head of Events, you will own multiple events at once, from early concept and experience design through to onsite execution and post-event wrap-up. This is a hands-on role for someone who keeps a cool head under pressure, loves detail as much as big-picture thinking, and genuinely enjoys working with people. You'll be the kind of person others trust when the stakes are high and timelines are tight.

What You Will Do

Event Management Excellence

Manage a portfolio of events from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, logistics, vendors, technology, and onsite delivery

Run production desks and lead show-calls with confidence

Create detailed event operational briefs and oversee all event logistics

Design and continuously improve the end-to-end attendee experience

Manage speakers and talent end-to-end, including briefings, rehearsals, travel, and stage management

Lead onsite operations, supervising contractors, casual staff, and suppliers

Deliver events on time, on budget, and above expectations

Lead post-event debriefs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

Manage venues, suppliers, contracts, and negotiations

Oversee event collateral and merchandise in collaboration with the Brand & Marketing team

Ensure all messaging and materials align with ASG brand guidelines

Lead, coach, and support event team members to deliver high-quality outcomes

Manage event staffing, rostering, briefings, and live troubleshooting

Lead contractors and casual teams onsite, including onboarding and performance feedback

Financial & Compliance

Manage and track event budgets and financial reporting

Complete post-event reconciliation and debriefs

Maintain accurate event data within the CRM

Ensure all events meet legal, WHS, and compliance requirements

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience delivering high-quality events in fast-paced environments

Confidence running production desks and live show-calls

Strong project management, planning, and organisational skills

Experience managing speakers, talent, contractors, and suppliers

A creative mindset with the ability to elevate attendee experiences

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure

Experience with event technology platforms (e.g. Cvent or similar)

A proactive, hands-on attitude with a genuine passion for events

Flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel when required
