About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Eureka 89. This is a full-time position with an immediate start due to business growth. In this hands-on role, you will prepare and cook all dishes for our six and eight-course Chef’s Tasting menu and event canapés. You will also maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene and develop expertise in your assigned specialty.

Your duties will include :

• Culinary Expertise and Presentation : Develop expertise in assigned menu specialty, efficiently preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes while contributing to recipe development and menu planning.
• Food Safety and Stock Management : Ensure food is stored correctly with good stock rotation, maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, and monitor stock levels to assist with ordering supplies and minimise waste.
• Training and Team Collaboration : Manage and train Junior / Commis Chefs, sharing knowledge to enhance team performance and collaborate with Executive and Head Chef for smooth kitchen operations.
• Adaptability and Time Management : Manage time effectively, work quickly under pressure, and remain open to taking on new tasks or adapting to different roles to support overall kitchen functionality.

This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude. You may be required to work any of the seven days of the calendar week, including weekends and gazetted public holidays. A standard working day can consist of up to 12 working hours, within the hours of 07 : 00hrs and 00 : 00hrs.
