Capecare is a not-for-profit organisation that has proudly provided Aged Care services in the Capes Region for over 60 years.

We are currently seeking experienced and capable Permanent Part-Time Catering Assistants and Kitchenhands to join our dedicated teams in Busselton and Dunsborough.

About the Role :

The Catering Assistant and Kitchenhands play a vital role in supporting the overall well‑being of residents by contributing to their dining experiences. They help create a welcoming atmosphere during mealtimes and work diligently to ensure that residents receive nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high standards of work while providing considerate, person‑centred care to our residents.

Our shift times are : Monday to Sunday : 7 am‑1 : 30 pm and 4 pm‑7 pm. Permanent shifts currently available are Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities :

• Meal Preparation : Assist in the preparation of meals, which may include chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Chef.
• Serving Meals : Help in serving meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring that each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.
• Dining Room Setup : Set up the dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean, and all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place.
• Dishwashing and Cleaning : Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area. They may also help with cleaning kitchen surfaces and storage areas.
• Resident Interaction : Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate.
