About the company / role :

Our client is a fresh produce and RTE food company manufacturing a range of salad kits, wet salads, soups, sauces, fruit, vegetables and snacks. They supply into a diverse range of customers : retailers, QSR and food service. They are seeking a Compliance Officer to join their team in Sydney’s Inner West. This is a permanent, full-time fully site and desk-based position. This role is ideal for a food QA who has some documentation experience and exposure working to legal and customer standards.

Duties :

Maintenance of documentation in preparation for audits
Ensure all legal and customer standards are being met from a compliance perspective
Manage the approved supplier program
Coordinate verification schedules for the manufacturing site
Approval of artwork, labels and specifications in conjunction with the NPD team
Cross functional role working with NPD, Quality and Operations

Skills / experience :

Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline

Industry experience in a QA role managing documentation and conducting verification activities is essential

Experience in the food industry with exposure to food industry standards is required (legal, SQF, Coles, Woolworths)

Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team

Strong attention to detail as well as great communication skills
