As the Team Leader, you will be an innovative leader responsible for managing all day‑to‑day operational aspects and leading a large multidisciplinary, specialist child development service team across multiple service locations.

About The Team

The Child Development Service teams provide a family‑centred, specialist public health service for children who have complex developmental and behavioural concerns. The teams provide multidisciplinary clinical services and consultancy / advice to support a comprehensive understanding of the child's developmental profile and how this relates to their functioning and participation in everyday life. Teams use a strengths‑based, partnership approach to enable families, key stakeholders and community providers to best support the child's optimal development, health and wellbeing across the life course.

About The Role

In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include :

  • Providing administrative coordination and operational management of all clinical, human and material resources in a designated CDS Service Area (including management of issues related to staff clinical practice and professional behaviours).
  • Applying high‑level clinical expertise in specialist child development services to ensure delivery of family‑centred, high‑quality, evidence‑based developmental clinical services for young children and their families aligning with clinical and organisational standards, practices and governance.
