Job descriptionFinancial Data & Reporting : Enter financial data, maintain accurate ledgers, and assist in preparing financial statements and reports, such as profit and loss (P&L) statements. Accounts Management : Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank and general ledger reconciliations. Cashflow and Creditor Management : Update cashflow and negotiate creditor payments. Cost Accounting Support : Assist with the analysis of manufacturing and production costs, comparing standard vs. actual costs, and explaining variances to support cost‑effectiveness. Month‑End & Compliance : Support the month‑end closing process by preparing journals and helping with tax‑related lodgments like BAS and GST. Fixed Assets & Payroll : Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with payroll journals and analysis. Auditing & Planning : Support internal and external audits and assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes. ERP & Excel Proficiency : Operate ERP systems and utilise advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, and formulas to manage and analyse financial data. Education : A degree in Accounting or a related field, or at least an associate degree is preferred. Experience : 2‑3+ years of accounting experience. Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Soft Skills : Strong communication, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Foundational Knowledge : A strong understanding of accounting principles.
