Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SIS) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large.     Program Kaartdijin is seeking highly dedicated and motivated Principal Project Officers to join the Implementation and Deployment team.

    The Implementation and Deployment team is responsible for the rollout of the Program Kaartdijin solution to public schools. The solution will be delivered as a phased approach replacing the existing SIS at schools. Within Program Kaartdijin, Implementation and Deployment will work closely with Training and Support, Communications, ICT, Schools and Finance teams. It will also be one of the schools key points of contact walking them through the implementation of the Program Kaartdijin solution.

    This position will require investigation and analyse of complex issues, polices and practices associated with implementation and deployment activities to identify and alleviate potential problems and to develop appropriate solutions. High-level demonstration of experience and skills related to analysis and problem solving will be beneficial.

    As well as ensuring that stakeholders are actively engaged with the Program Kaartdijin solution, the suitable applicant will also be required to coordinate and undertake process reviews and undertake feasibility studies which include cost benefit analysis.

    Suitable applicants should have a highly developed level of practical experience and skills related to delivering change, possess strong planning skills, engage and build trust with the customer and deliver advice that is accurate within a timely manner, display substantial leadership and planning skills, knowledge of and experience in providing strategic information technology consulting services, high level knowledge and experience in influencing the development of ICT strategy standards, practices and innovation.

    The suitable applicant will apply their leadership and organisational skills to help shape the deployment of the Program Kaartdijin solution through their team of liaison officers. They will have a track record of developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships, thrive on challenges and solving them, while working in a fast-paced environment.

    Experience in Microsoft Office products (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Project and Outlook) will be a key requirement to this role.
