Overview
We are seeking applications for a Youth Worker to join our Youth, Mother & Baby Program at St John of God Social Outreach, located in Dianella WA. This permanent part‑time role focuses on providing high‑standard care to residents, empowering young people towards autonomy and self‑fulfilment.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well‑being at the forefront.
- Provide safe and stable long‑term accommodation for at‑risk youth and create a growth‑promoting environment.
- Offer outreach, strengths‑based and practical support to meet continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
- Assist young people in realizing their aspirations through participation in education, training and employment services.
- Assist in case management and planning for young people.
- Support young people in developing independent living skills.
Qualifications
Successful applicants will hold :
Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar.State’s Driver’s Licence.First Aid Certificate.Working with Children Card.Understanding of adolescent special needs and trauma‑informed care plus recent experience with at‑risk young people.Knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational Health & Safety Act Regulations.Benefits
Salary : $76,621 to $82,169 pro‑rata for 26 hours per week plus 12% superannuation.Salary packaging up to $18,550 for benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation and other everyday living expenses.Flexible work options, additional purchased leave and well‑being programs.Employee discount on St John of God Hospital & Medical Services and private health insurance.About Us
