Location is negotiable within the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network (Port Macquarie | Wauchope | Kempsey) and requires frequent travel between these sites.

Position Overview

This role is part of the largest health organisation in Australia. The Network Aboriginal Health Manager provides strategic leadership to the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of high‑level leadership and advice on implementing National, State and District Aboriginal Health strategic directions within the network, including the Aboriginal Health Strategic Framework 2024_34, NSW Aboriginal Health Plan, NSW Aboriginal Health Transformation Agenda, and the MNCLHD Aboriginal Workforce Plan.
• Provision of high‑level leadership on Aboriginal Health issues across the Network, developing and maintaining key relationships that cultivate greater engagement, partnerships and connectedness.
• Contributing to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of key programs within the Network.
• Contributing to Aboriginal workforce planning and support for the Network.

Reports to the Coordinator of the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network / General Manager of Port Macquarie Base Hospital and is a member of the HMCN Senior Leadership Team.
