About the Role
We're looking for a patient understanding and experienced support worker who can provide quality care to younger clients with complex needs. Excellent English and communication skills are essential as you will be engaging with participants families and colleagues daily.
Based in Truganina this role offers short shifts for school drop-off (07 : 30am-10 : 30am) and school pick-up (2 : 30pm-4 : 30pm) shifts each day making it ideal for anyone seeking flexibility that fits around their lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level support to younger clients with Autism Level 3 and complex needs
Assist with daily school drop-off and pick-up routines
Support the client's communication, social interaction and behaviours
Help maintain consistency routines and structure throughout the day
Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioural challenges or sensory needs
Communicate effectively with the client and their family
Ensure the child's safety and wellbeing at all times
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
Required Skills Experience & Qualifications
Experience with children with behaviours and Autism Level 3
Minimum 2 years of disability support experience
Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support (or related qualification)
Strong English and communication skills
Competence in personal care hoists and manual handling
First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Working with Children Check Employee
NDIS Worker Screening Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Infection Control training
