1. Position Purpose
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all stock-related activities within the TMA Truganina Warehouse. This role supports operational flow, demand fulfilment, and system reliability by maintaining real‑time inventory control, investigating discrepancies, and implementing best‑practice stock management processes.
2. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels across warehouse locations and ERP system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, full stocktakes, and reconciliation of variances.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damage, or mis‑picks.
- Oversee goods‑in and goods‑out accuracy, ensuring correct documentation and labelling.
- Maintain stock locations and bin accuracy to support efficient picking and replenishment.
Systems and Data Integrity
Maintain item master data within ERP / WMS systems.Ensure transactions are completed correctly and in real time.Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.Support process improvements to enhance system reliability and reporting accuracy.Operational Support
Work closely with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to align stock levels with demand.Support incoming and outgoing goods inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.Identify slow‑moving, obsolete, or surplus stock and recommend corrective actions.Assist with logistics planning, pallet management, and returns processing.Drive process improvements in inventory accuracy, storage efficiency, and warehouse layout.Support TMA’s WHS and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards.Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.Participate in warehouse audits and contribute to KPI reporting and improvement initiatives.3. Cycle count completion rate and reconciliation timeliness.Reduction in stock discrepancies and adjustments.On‑time completion of stock reports.Compliance with WHS and CoR requirements.4. Skills, Experience, and Attributes
Minimum 3 years’ experience in inventory control, warehouse coordination, or supply chain operations.Strong proficiency with ERP / WMS systems (e.g., Syteline, SCE, CERM or similar).Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation).Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.Forklift License (LF) desirable but not essential.Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Goods Handling Standards.5.
