About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Sales & Marketing team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded sales professional who thrives on building genuine client relationships, generating new business, converting leads and helping us grow our corporate, group, and leisure segments. This is a highly visible and strategic role that directly contributes to the hotel’s success.
Responsibilities
- Actively identify and convert new business opportunities across corporate, group, leisure, and wholesale segments through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and industry events
- Develop and execute tactical sales plans to meet revenue and occupancy targets for assigned markets
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts through regular engagement, tailored proposals, and strong client relationship management
- Respond to sales enquiries promptly, prepare compelling quotations, and negotiate win-win outcomes that balance client needs and business goals
- Host site inspections, familiarisation visits and presentations that showcase Hotel premium offerings
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, networking functions, and industry events
- Work collaboratively with the Revenue, Marketing, Events, and Operational teams to deliver seamless client experiences
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date CRM management, including lead tracking, pipeline reporting, and account activity logs
- Participate in weekly sales reporting, forecasting, RevMax Meetings, and business planning in line with Stamford’s commercial objectives
- Support team development by mentoring junior staff and sharing insights or best practices
- Uphold Stamford’s values in every interaction and demonstrate "The Stamford Way" — excellence, service, and integrity
- Use daily base all the systems involved in Corporate Segments (Cvent, Amadeus, Agency 360, Salesforce)
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality sales role, ideally with a focus on corporate marketsProven track record of achieving sales targets and building successful client relationshipsOutstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational and time management abilities, with attention to detailCommercially savvy with an understanding of revenue optimisation and market segmentationExperience using CRM systems (e.g., Opera, Salesforce, Cvent, Agency 360, Amadeus, etc.)A team player who brings initiative, energy, and a customer-first mindsetPassionate about hospitality and motivated by service excellenceWhat We Offer
