About Your Role

As a Staff Specialist in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology, you’ll provide high‑quality clinical services across the Bayside Health Service, with a focus on endoscopic procedures and gastroenterology clinics. You’ll contribute to the development and expansion of our gastroenterology services, support quality and safety initiatives, and guide junior clinicians through education and supervision.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Deliver evidence‑based care to inpatients and outpatients with gastroenterological disorders.
• Perform and monitor endoscopic procedures (upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy).
• Support the development and growth of the Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) services.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration and ensure clear communication across care teams.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and safety frameworks.
• Provide teaching, mentorship and supervision for medical students, registrars and junior doctors.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to clinical research and innovation.
