Due to the growth of the business and project development they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the workshop team.

About the role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with over 3 years' experience to join their team in Unanderra. Be rewarded with longevity in your career and the chance to continuously learn, grow and upskill.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for dismantling, assessing, repairing and assembling pumps, gearboxes and motors.
• Perform leveling and alignment of engineering assemblies.
• Maintain and repair power transmission systems.
• Maintain, fault find and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide operational support to field staff regarding plant issues.

Skills & experience

• You will be a trade qualified fitter with relevant licenses
• 3 + years previous fitter experience is a must working with pumps, gearboxes & motors.
• You must be an Australian resident to apply.
• Taking direction, being self-motivated and having the ability to follow safety procedures is essential for this role.
• You must have an Australian Driver's License and be a permanent resident at least!

Culture

This company provides stability and great working hours with an organised, highly operational workshop environment. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm with penalty rates applied. Overtime is required from time to time and work is predominantly based on premises.

Benefits

This full-time position provides great company incentives, career growth and opportunities for the right person. The salary package on offer is $45 - $50 p / h + Super depending on experience. The role provides you with an opportunity that could lead to a supervisor's role down the track as well as on-site work so you can get out of workshop from time to time!
