Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery & Enablement – Endeavour Group

The Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery & Enablement is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of project / initiative management within the Digital & Data, ensuring strategic alignment, investment decisions, and effective project delivery. This role involves governing the Digital and Data Portfolio of in-flight initiatives, enabling prioritisation of new initiatives, ensuring consistency in governance, and managing the Digital and Data Delivery framework to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Evolve and maintain a robust delivery framework, including policies, procedures, templates, and methodologies. Establish and oversee the governance structure for all projects, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Portfolio and across project portfolios.
- Delivery Gates & Multi-Methodology Facilitation : Lead and facilitate delivery gate reviews to assess solution feasibility, strategic alignment, and delivery progress at critical decision points, tailoring the approach to fit Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery environments. Collaborate with delivery leads to ensure initiatives meet criteria and governance checkpoints before advancing. Implement and refine processes to align with evolving strategic goals and high-cadence, multi-methodology delivery.
- Framework Evolution & Implementation : Leverage and evolve delivery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement across the delivery process and work with owners to implement changes. Ensure standardisation across Digital and Data’s portfolio to promote consistency, quality, and efficiency. Drive the adoption of appropriate project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Project Prioritisation & Investment : Collaborate with senior leadership to develop project prioritisation and investment processes based on strategic value, ROI, and resource capacity. Lead development and refinement of processes for evaluating and selecting projects and enable trimester planning with Digital and Data leadership and delivery teams.
- Portfolio Management & Reporting : Establish performance metrics to monitor post-investment progress. Report portfolio status, highlighting risks, issues, and achievements to senior leadership. Ensure transparent reporting of project performance, financials, and alignment with business outcomes.
- Tool Management & Evolution : Oversee the optimisation and evolution of tools to ensure consistent use, visibility, and measurement for project tracking, reporting, and resource management. Continuously improve toolsets to meet evolving business needs.
- Team Leadership & Development : Lead and develop a portfolio capability and delivery guild within Digital & Data. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on best practices for portfolio, program and project management, ensuring consistency across projects. Develop KPIs, oversee recruitment, training, and development of resources, and mentor the team with coaching and growth opportunities.

Experience working with digital and data product deliveryExperience working with technology project / program deliveryExperience working in portfolios delivering with agile, agile and waterfall deliveryKnowledge of structuring schedules to align with industry best-practice while adhering to internal / external compliance and maintaining program transparencyProven experience ensuring portfolio schedules meet quality standards from planning through deliveryExperience communicating across levels of the organization, including to C-suite executivesExperience & Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related fieldPMP or PgMP certification preferred10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a PMO leadership roleStrong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)Proven experience in developing PMO capabilityExpertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change controlExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsProficiency in Google Suite and project management softwareAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong leadership, mentorship, and coaching skillsWhat’s in it for you?
