Director- Systems Integration

Overview

Director - Systems Integration role at 4impact. Lead the end-to-end integration, deployment, and commissioning of European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 across a major Queensland government integration network. This role oversees all aspects of systems integration from planning and design through to commissioning and operational readiness. You will lead a high-performing team of engineers, integration specialists, and project professionals to ensure seamless delivery across multiple technology and infrastructure streams.

About You

You are a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in rail systems, signaling, and large-scale technology integration. With a proven record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex, safety-critical projects, you thrive on aligning strategy, technology, and delivery to achieve operational excellence.

You Will Bring

• 15+ years of experience in the rail industry or large-scale systems engineering projects, ideally involving ETCS or equivalent signalling programs.
• Proven capability leading end-to-end systems integration or technical delivery functions within complex, multi-year programs.
• Strong background in systems engineering, assurance, and RAMS processes.
• Exceptional leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Management (postgraduate preferred).
• Professional accreditation (e.g. CPEng, CPPM) and active membership of relevant professional bodies.
