  • Part Time 0.70FTE, term contract (temporary until 31 December 2026) Must be available Thursdays and Fridays

    • About the role

      The Research Information Officer provides high-level administrative support to Human Research Ethics and Clinical Trials committees. It supports researchers and stakeholders on ethics matters, maintains research databases, prepares agendas and minutes, coordinates correspondence, and contributes to confidentiality and compliance.

      Key duties of the role

    • Provide high level administrative support to the WCHN Human Ethics Committee and the WCHN Drug and Therapeutic Committee Clinical Trials Group
    • Support researchers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders on research ethic matters
    • Maintain information on computerised databases associated with human research ethics
    • Prepare and disseminate agendas, minutes and other correspondence as required
    • Meet with managers, report on progress with projects, resolve problems and assess future needs.
    • Skills and Experience

    • Experience in administrative support to a committee with regulatory responsibility
    • High level of organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
    • Understanding of sensitive issues such as confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of issues relating to human medical research
    • Able to take initiative and work effectively with limited supervision
