About the role

The role is comprehensive, focusing on the delivery, maintenance, and compliance of the hospital\'s IPC program in accordance with NSQHS Standards, LARU private hospital standards and best practice clinical standards. You will drive efforts to prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), by adherence to hospital IPC compliance / policy and protocol implementation, managing surveillance and outbreak responses, staff education, pre-employment immunisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Management & Compliance : Delivering and maintaining the hospital\'s IPC program.
• Compliance : Ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standard 3 and LARU private hospital licensing standards.
• Policy & Procedures : Developing, implementing, reviewing, and updating IPC policies and procedures.
• Surveillance : Monitoring infection rates and trends through hospital-wide HAI surveillance (in alignment with HISWA).
• Outbreak Support : Supporting clinical areas during infection outbreaks and ensuring timely communication and containment.
• Audits & Quality : Leading IPC surveillance audits and quality improvement initiatives.
