DESCRIPTION

Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking experienced Operations Managers to join the business and play a critical role in leading our team of associates within our Delivery Station at Kewdale, Perth.

Do you have a passion for motivating, mentoring, and coaching a team? Do you pride yourself in maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance? As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates.
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards, while promoting a Health and Safety culture on-site.
  • Collaborating with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • Performing physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching with varying weights.

A day in the life

You will be an inspiring leader within our Delivery Stations, working to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively. Along with your peers, you'll ensure that workflows run smoothly and customer expectations are met or exceeded.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain / Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience managing sizable teams; a natural motivator and relationship builder.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including conducting Dive Deep analysis on complex processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant Amazon experience.
  • Ability to manage high levels of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with strategic planning, performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean or Kaizen methodologies.
