On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Global Oil & Gas Group, Brunel is presently sourcing a Local Content Specialist with a focus on Aboriginal Contracting / Sustainable and Ethical Procurement Support, Advice, Approvals and Reporting - contract duration vicinity of two years located at their Corporate CBD premises.

- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Major Capital Projects (MCPs) and / or Company Operations
- Work with Contract / Procurement personnel and Contract Owner and other relevant internal stakeholder representatives to enhance effectiveness of AIP process / procedure implementation and achievement of Local Content / Aboriginal Contracting / Sustainable and Ethical Procurement actions / outcomes throughout the contracting process, including post award
- Actively participate in SP&C team meetings to enhance understanding of ABU SCM process / procedure and understanding by wider SP&C team of AIP / NLC plans, process / procedure and actions / outcomes to enhance cross SP&C team support
- Actively collaborate cross functionally and through community of practices to enhance effectiveness of AIP / NLC planning and delivery, including effectiveness of AIP Local Content / Aboriginal Contracting / Sustainable and Ethical Procurement process / procedure and achievement of actions / outcomes
- Work with Corporate / External Affairs to communicate with external stakeholders (contractors and suppliers, industry association and other partners and government) on AIP / Aboriginal Business opportunities and actions / outcomes
- Support and enable external supplier events
- Actively participate and coordinate supplier audits to ensure compliance with Modern Slavery / Human Rights legislation, AIP Compliance, NTA compliance
- Assist Category Management to identify areas of opportunity to enhance Local Content / Aboriginal Contracting / Sustainable and Ethical Procurement actions / outcomes within Company SCM activities
- Ensure reporting of Local Content / Aboriginal Contracting / Sustainable and Ethical Procurement actions / outcomes is conducted and seek and pursue opportunities for improving reporting of actions / outcomes
- Support and facilitate external and internal engagement with business partners and government stakeholders
- Support and take direction from AIP lead on work requirements
- About you
- Extensive experience in a similar role with demonstrable local industry capability knowledge
- Sound understanding of the Australian Oil & Gas industry and the processes and procedures within
- Experience in dealing with small, regional and Aboriginal businesses
- Solid knowledge of government, contracting and general supply chain processes
- Experience in preparation and coordination of clear and concise reporting
- Confident in public speaking and community engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player capabilities
- Confident and clear communication, negotiation and influencing skills
