About The Role

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, The Children and Family Centre (CFC) aims to prepare children ready for their schooling journey by delivering targeted early years (0-9yrs) services to children and their families. This will include co-designing evidence-based early years programs with the CFC Manager, independently leading the facilitation of group programs, and collect data to measure impact and effectiveness. The aim of programs is to provide targeted supports that grow the social development, emotional wellbeing, physical needs, cognitive supports, and learning and communication development needs of children. Programs also focus on parental / caregiver needs that improve the capacity of parents to respond to their child’s needs and early engagement of caregivers in their child’s learning journey.

Duties

  • Assist in delivering community marketing, social media, and community awareness around CFC Group Programs. Participate in community events hosted at the FC and broader community to promote the CFC.
  • Assist the Manager to design targeted group programs for young children (0-5 years) and their caregivers. Ensure programs align with the CFC purpose and intent. Pre-plan all programs and assist in developing a pre-scheduled calendar of weekly programs for each school term period.
  • Complete risk assessments of programs prior to delivery, ensuring the safety of clients participating. Manage client conflict and personality dynamics.
  • Facilitate a broad range of programs, actively engaging different caregivers and children. Manage group dynamics and facilitate programs utilising an adult learning approach.
  • Identify parental / caregiver needs that participate in programs and connect with appropriate ATSICHS services in a timely manner.
  • Record all necessary group program data and assist in writing case studies outlining impact of programs.
  • Assist the Manager in reviewing program delivery, ensuring participants complete feedback surveys. Assist the Manager in actioning client feedback into ongoing quality improvements.

    Required

  • Certificate or Diploma in Early Education and Care.
  • National Police clearance.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or willing to apply.
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Immunisation.
  • Evidence of working rights.
  • Travel between work sites on a regular basis.
  • Preferred

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or the willingness to acquire.
  • Experience in reporting and data entry.
