Educational Designer

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Designer to join our team of professionals in the Education Design, Quality and Standards Directorate.

Academic Level B : $112,810 - $133,110 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation.

Position Type : Full‑time, Fixed term to June 2026 (parental leave backfill).

Location : Townsville or remote within Australia.

WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE

As an Educational Designer at JCU, you will :

• Forge strong relationships with academic stakeholders to co‑create inclusive, student‑centered learning experiences across various courses and attendance modes.
• Champion inclusive learning by employing the latest pedagogical and technical knowledge to design highly interactive and academically rigorous learning materials.
• Play a pivotal role in advancing our curriculum model, offering expertise in technology‑enhanced learning.
• Lead professional development initiatives and create educational resources to seamlessly integrate technology into our teaching.
• Elevate the student experience through data‑driven approaches that continually enhance our digital learning methods.
• Contribute to the scholarship of learning and teaching, shaping the future of education at our world‑leading university.
