At Social Wave , we are one of the leading video content marketing agencies in the country and we work with ‘knowledge’ businesses like lawyers, accountants, brokers, buyers agents, coaches, consultants, and CEOs to help them build powerful personal brands through YouTube, podcasts, and scroll-stopping short-form content . We’ve also got a few hospitality brands and a leading podcast called Level : Asian in the mix to keep things spicy.

We're looking for someone hands-on, creative, and lives for content that actually gets results , not just likes. You’ll work directly with our Creative Director , take the lead on projects, and be trusted to run with ideas from start to finish.

We’re not looking for someone with 10 years of experience. We’re after someone coachable, hungry, curious, and confident enough to figure things out (and speak up when they’ve got a better way to do something).

VIDEO CONTENT PRODUCER / CONTENT CREATOR

YOUTUBE + PODCASTS + SHORT-FORM)

Salary : $85,000 – $90,000 + GST + Bonus Scheme

Location : Sydney (Hybrid – Initial 5 Days In-Office Training)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create content end-to-end – from ideation and scripting to filming (Sony A7 or iPhone), lighting, audio, editing, and publishing.
  • Manage client campaigns – Own the process from planning to execution, client comms, and content performance.
  • Build and grow YouTube channels – Our clients are going hard on YouTube, and we want someone who gets it—and can help lead it.
  • Work closely with offshore editors – Be the bridge between creative direction and post-production. Organisation is key.
  • Turn views into business results – This isn’t just about making things look pretty. You’ll help clients drive traffic, leads, and revenue.
  • Pitch new ideas and spot trends – You’re not waiting to be told what to do—you’re bringing insights to the table.
  • Be part of a fast-moving team – From last-minute shoots to multi-week campaigns, no two days are the same (and that’s the fun of it).

Who You Are

  • You’ve created your own content - maybe a YouTube channel, TikTok / Instagram page, podcast, or even a side hustle, and can show us what you’ve done.
  • You’re done freelancing or doing UGC for clients and want to grow in a team environment .
  • You’re coachable , open to feedback, and take action without getting defensive.
  • You don’t need a marketing degree - you’ve learned by doing .
  • You thrive under pressure, stay calm when things get messy, and actually like it when things move fast.
  • You’re naturally organised, resourceful , and take ownership of your work.
  • You get a buzz from helping clients grow - and love seeing the business you work for grow too.
  • You’re not afraid to challenge an idea, speak up, or suggest a new approach - no egos here .
  • You’ve got solid technical knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio - and know how to get great content from an iPhone too.
