Financial Controller

Your Opportunity :

You will take on a newly created role in a highly acquisitive business that have an excellent industry reputation where you will you report directly to the CFO. They are highly experienced and will invest their time to see you develop in this position and increase your skills and knowledge. In addition, you will liaise directly with new PE investors further developing your career.

The role will offer a mix of hands-on financial duties, and allow you to engage from a commercial aspect as your input will be required to allow the business to make strategic advancements.

The business sits at approx. $75M t / o and they continue to grow through strategic acquisitions whilst working with multiple different industries across Australia. They adopt a customer first ethic and are constantly striving to make innovations in their products and services.

What You Will Do :

You will be given full ownership of the Finance function and take responsibility for enhancing the function and taking it to the next level.

You can expect to be hands-on with financial reporting, taxation, cash flow management, EOM & EOFY reporting, forecasting, budgets, manage relationships with bankers and investors, and work with the Auditors.

In addition, you'll partner with the CFO to provide strategic insights to help drive the business forward; be involved with commercial decision making and provide analysis of various business performance indicators. Your insights will be crucial to help the leadership make sound business decisions.

You will also lead a team of 6 and be viewed as a leader, a mentor, and not just a manager.

Who You Are :

We're looking for you to be able to fulfil the following criteria :

• Fully qualified accountant
• Team management experience
• Previous Financial Controller experience
• Strong Excel capability
• Have all encompassing financial experience; especially cash flow and month-end.
• An ability to provide insightful, detailed analysis
• Experience of presenting to Exec level colleagues
