Where you’ll be working

Royal North Shore Hospital, Ward 7D – a tertiary referral centre for neurosurgical referrals across the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts. We care for patients with neuro oncology, cerebrovascular, neuro infective, peripheral nerve, spine and traumatic brain conditions, and offer a statewide spinal injury service.

We have a structured preceptor program and opportunities for educational development, including in-services and neurosurgical nursing courses for staff.

What you’ll be doing

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the broader health care team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.

Qualifications and experience

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Current experience in an acute hospital environment with current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
