Key duties and responsibilities :

The developer will be responsible for creating highly functional, visually engaging interfaces that are compatible and accessible across all major browsers and devices. They will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to business.gov.au brand guidelines, design systems, and accessibility standards. The role involves working closely with product owners, delivery teams, UX designers, and other collaborators to maintain a consistent user experience across multiple services and products. Additionally, the developer will provide expert guidance to content and delivery teams on best practices for utilising the Sitecore CMS. They will also manage ongoing Sitecore monitoring and upgrades, leveraging enterprise modules to enhance user experiences and operational efficiencies in line with departmental goals. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure compliance with security requirements and alignment with the department's enterprise architecture. The developer must also be available outside of core business hours to ensure continued service availability.

Essential Criteria :

Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a fast-paced, Agile, multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in developing applications for multiple browsers and devices while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
Familiarity with Azure PaaS Cloud or similar cloud technologies.
At least 2 years of experience developing on the Sitecore platform (v9 or higher), with expertise in building web and frontend applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, Node.js, ASP.NET MVC, modern JavaScript frameworks, CSS, and HTML.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Desirable Criteria :

Proficient in Azure DevOps or Microsoft TFS, with experience in search technologies.

Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of modern web development practices.

Experience with Sitecore xDB, xConnect, and implementing website personalization.
