Overview
The Technical Instructor for the Snowflake Customer Education and Training Team will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling education content and training sets that make complex concepts come alive in instructor-led classroom venues. The senior instructor will be seen as a subject matter expert and leader in transferring knowledge of Snowflake to customers, partners and internal teams, accelerating their technical onboarding journey. This role also leads cross-training efforts, program management, and helps strategically ramp multiple resources with our external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Teach a breadth of technical courses to onboard customers and partners to Snowflake, the cloud-powered data warehouse
- Cross-train a breadth of technical courses to qualified individuals and resources
- Cover concepts including Snowflake data warehousing concepts, SQL capabilities, data consumption and connectivity interfaces, data integration and ingestion, database security, performance topics, cloud ecosystem topics, and more
- Apply database and data warehousing expertise during training to help customers transition from prior database environments
- Deliver content and cross-train on delivery best practices using lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on labs
- Work with customers and partners investing in train-the-trainer programs to certify their trainers for delivery
- Design-focused approach to make complex training concepts engaging in blended delivery
- Collaborate with education content developers to prioritize, create, integrate, and publish training materials and exercises; drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Snowflake subject-matter experts to create new materials and update content to match product updates
Ideal qualifications
Strong data warehouse and data-serving platform backgroundRecent experience with SQL, including complex workloads4-10 years of experience in technical content training development and deliveryStrong desire and ability to teach and trainExperience with other databases (e.g., Oracle, IBM Netezza, Teradata)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsInnovative, assertive, and quick to learn new technologiesEnergetic, professional presenceTrack record of delivering results in dynamic environmentsExperience working cross-functionally with solution architects, technical writers, and supportStrong ownership and attention to detailDegrees in Computer Science or MIS are helpfulWillingness to travel up to 75%Bonus points for experience with the following
